1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
This was the most common regret of all. When people realise that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people have had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.
It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children's youth and their partner's companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.
By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.
We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly,in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved.Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.
It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip.But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks,love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called 'comfort' of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have sillyness in their life again.
When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again,long before you are dying.

Xmas is in 10days! Orchard Road is flooded everyday! people clearing leave? buying useless presents from action city? why are companies and non-Christian friends suggestion Christmas gift exchange? are they just buying into commercialism?

i <3 receiving presents tho muahahah. I've gotten lotsa presents this yr on standby in case anyone wants to exchange wif me =)

my favorite part of Xmas is Starbucks! society giveback day which occurred a few wks ago! Happy people makes my cuppa frap so much sweeter! =)

and my other favorite activity this period is catching A Crazy Xmas!

and this yr there's kumar as Lady Gaga! tho' i'm not rocking his part of the play this year, his costume is awesome!

I love to blogsurf, but i tend to just glance at photos and totally ignoring the content. this my blog became very pictorial based as well! so aniwaes, one of the blog i frequent is that of ieatishootipost. I've met Dr leslie tay several times and hes such a nice, funny guy!

reading an excerpt from his more recent entry, I've learnt something useful!

I never knew how Bak Kut Teh came about actually and more often than not, i dont have my bkt wif chinese tea! In fact, the only time i had my bkt with chinese tea was when i was outstation to Msia last month!

5/50 students actually ate teochew porridge before? really? omg! teochew porridge is like one of my fave food! there used to be a fantabulous teochew porridge stall opposite my flat, and taxi drivers are their biggest fan! esp after midnight when theres not much of a food choice in the west side.

i remember my mom telling me teochew porridge is a very healthy meal! and thats one of the reason why teochew people have such good complexion! cos the meal is very 'qing dan'.

When was the last time you had teochew porridge? go try the one at beo crescent/ quality hotel! both joints serve till the wee hrs of the morning. i even met jade seah at teochew porridge stall at beocrescent once. so perhaps after zouk, head over to beocrescent instead of Spize =)

Domino's have been around Singapore since some time ago then exited the scene altogether. Recently it came back to Singapore again! My family loves Pizza so fine weekday when I ended work on time, we trotted down to Chun Tin Rd for some Dominos Loving'

The good ol' hawaiian pizza! my mom swears by hawaiian pizza so we never fail to have hawaiian pizza. We chose the medium crust for this pizza.

Additionally we also ordered the chili chicken pizza (no picture) cos it was too hungry. But its really interesting, not too spicy and I <3 it! we chose the thin crust for that and by thin crust, its almost like rotiprata no crust kind =) I liked that cos i especially disliked the thick crust, they are just so filling!

Cinnastix. This looks interesting so I got this as well, I think its more of a dessert? cos its sweet but nt overly sweet like the macs one, they gave a packet of the liquid sugar but i didnt use it cos it was sweet enough already. I <3 their spicy drumlets too! It gives Pizza Hut a run for their money =) Currently Domino's my family's fave pizza joint!

The hawker series! Somehow, the more you earn, the more you spend, I have no idea but my friends are as broke as me so we all opted for some good ol' Cze Char for our gathering! Siang Hee @Zion Road again! I <3 ZionRd.

We were early, but they'll still take sometime to cook, so we ordered Orh Jian from the neighbouring stall! Looks not bad and taste not bad too! =)

Pumpkin Cream Sauce Prawn. How unique right! Pumpkin is not very common in chinese cooking but it's very healthy! In fact, you can just steam it to eat! =) This dish is yummy! Especially the sauce! Everyone else paired the sauce with their rice =)

This is the die die must order dish! Marmite pork chop or sth. Even dearest Man whos super picky abt food raved abt this! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside = Winning Formula!

Pork Knuckle in a chinese cze char? Think again! Alot of other tables ordered this too! But we felt that its a little dry? Or perhaps we just do not know how to appreciate good ol' pork knuckle =)

Assam fish head! My fave too! I <3 everything Assam! The fish is meaty and fresh! good for lazy people like me!

sambal sweet potato leaves. A very common dish, just there to fulfill out dietary fibre intake, but I <3 this all the same cos not alot of places serve this! Much healthier than Kang Kong! =)

Salted Veg Soup. Homely.

The food at Siang Hee is really not bad and they have received alot of accolades from various sources including the TV Channels! I was telling my folks abt it and apparently, they used to go dating there! Good food last a few generations huh =)

Then it was to Leo's hse for some fun Cranium. The game is damn difficult la! Prob need to be some genius to play!

Love the super cute character! You can even personalise by putting different headgear on top! =)

I <3 reading 8 days especially the eat session cos they'll introduce all the new food places in town! So 2 saturdays ago, P and I signed up for this dessert making workshop! =)

The super farni chef from US of A, Chef Curry! He kept making lame jokes and made us laugh! A natural comedian! =)

We were taught 4 different sweets and there's a buffet during the break which allowed us to sample wot we learnt! The jelly in the cup thingy is super cool! I'd try to make it soon! =)

Mariott Hotel was very lovely and served premium teas with bottled honey! My fave, warm honey water! =)

I want more such 8days workshop! =)) P with Michelle Chong who gamely posed the 'V' sign too! heh =)

I <3 to dream! Especially during working hours!

This is the first year of the Marina Bay I Light Festival I think and I realli love the installation pieces! The exhibition covers a wide area and I was lazy to walk so here are the few I've gathered. This is one of my fave cos of all the different quotes on the floor.

This is another pretty installation made with all recycled plastic bottles! There are like hundreds of them! =)

Pretty Singapore skyline! <3

P wanted me to dangle my feet in the water! But after watching Piranha 3D, I am still afraid of the open waters!

My other fave installation! You stand there and a mosiac of different pictures will be created! A few kids were playing around wif it hurhur.

Do check it out! I think they have a guided tour, I'm not sure when! I'll be interested to join the guided tour if time permits =)

Its finally the Co's D&D again! Last year, due to the economic downturn, we had to settle for a family day kinda event. The theme was starstruck! and everyone was encouraged to be glam and outrageous like lady gaga etc which explains the poster! =)

The D&D was held in the MBS ballroom! I've been to MBS several times but its my first time in the ball room! Its very glam and pretty! =)

The dinner started promptly at 8pm which was good cos the invite told us to reach at 530! I was late and only reached ard 715! Thank god for that if nt i'll juz be wasting my time away! The first course was the usual cold platter.

Fish maw soup which I liked as compared to sharksfin soup! =) The soup all came in single bowl so no need to scoop for everyone else! Lotsa fresh ingredients inside too!

Steam fish. The usual chinese dinner fare.

Roasted chicken with prawn cracker.

Stir fried Udon noodles which I felt was so so only. The udon was not QQ anymore which I didnt like. I pref ee-fu mee anytime really! >.<

The highlight of the day! Dessert buffet! I <3 I guess its probably there were so few of the normal courses. most dinners nowadays tended to have dessert buffet! They keep replenishing the dessert too!

I read in 8days last week that from now till Dec 2010, selected food outlets in Sentosa have food promotions! So in case you do not know yet, you can log on to http://www.sentosadining.com.sg/ to read more about it! So after looking through some not so attractive offers, I've shortlisted 3 restaurants I wanna try and this is one of them!

So I dated bestie and along we headed to Shutters! It's not too troublesome for her since she works there ||-_-

We had the 1 for 1 lunch set @ $48++ and the 1st course was the bread! The bread is refillable too! =) We chose to sit outside alfresco and we had the entire place to ourselves! cozy max!

There's 2 kinds of bread, a wheatgrain one and a fried spring onion bread! The one I'm holding up is the fried spring onion bread! I <3 fried spring onion! It made the bread 100X more fragrant! I was so tempted to eat more!

Pumpkin Soup! Bestie felt that it tasted weird, but I thought it was okay. Its the watery kind which was good for me, cos if its too creamy, I'll get full very fast! =) Issit the halloween thingy going on, alot of restaurants are serving up pumpkin soup lately!

My main of pan seared sea bass. I <3 the mash potato at the base and finished all my greens! Asaparagus is good for health! The seabass is juz nice too! =)

Bestie's half chicken! This taste not bad too, Its well done all around with a hint of pink in the middle as wot bestie described. Its how a good cook is supposed to cook his meat! Although both the mains are good, we felt that there was nothing really outstanding or screaming at us to go back again!

Our dessert was chempadek creme brulee! The restaurant manager was super nice to strike a conversation with us and asked if we knew wot was a chempadek! I said its a jackfruit but he said its a cousin or sth, not sure if its the maternal side or paternal side hurhur.

But this was the best creme brulee I've had! the burnt part have this popping thingy, if you lived in Singapore long enough, there used to be this lollipop shaped in a feet and you get to dip into this salt thingy where the salt will go popping away in your mouth!

That's wot they used in the burnt part! Its so amazingly cool and interesting! There are bits of chempadek at the bottom as well! Bestie was totally raving at this! =) I cant wait to try more of other restaurants in Sentosa before the offer ends!! =)

I used to go to Zion Road Riverside Hawker alot when I was younger, like 4-5 yrs old? Cos my folks were pretty hip and hung out at Kim Seng alot. At that time, there was a billard palour and bowling alley.

Most of the hawkers there knew me cos I was so cute. hurhur. so forward 20 years after a revamp, theres no more stench coming from the big longkang, the famous char kway teow is still there, but they no longer open so late anymore!

So I was quite disappointed when P & I reached so we headed next door to the Sun Coffee Planet! Wot kinda weird name is that. Anyway its at the spot where Tong Shui Cafe used to be! We are very happy to find out that they serve 24hrs and halal food too! =)

Mine Mutton Redang Rice! I <3 the cracker at the side! The mutton is nice and tender too! A plus point is that there is no smelly muttonish smell which P approves of! =) Damn sinful to eat this at night! But I <3

P's seafood fried rice which was not bad too!

We ordered honey seacoconut for dessert! Do you like honey seacoconut? I <3 them cos they are super chewy, esp the lighter parts of the coconut you can observe from the picture, they are the chewy part!

Pampering delight at BlissSpa in Sephora, ION Orchard! I've always wanted to try out the services at Bliss cos they just look so clean, neat, professional and quirky (the names of their pdts). But the drawback is that their services are oh so expensive! So I jumped at the chance when I saw an online website selling coupons for mani & pedi at $45! Its still ex, but its already 50% off!

I was early so I sat on the couch to while I think wot colour I wanted to have. They serve mini chocolate cakes, water and lemonade. Their lemonade is totally yummy! I had 2 cups of it! =)

Look at the array of nail polishes they have! I was totally spoilt for choice!

Theres even a photobooth to play with! But I was alone thus a lil paiseh. When I go back again I'll definitely go in and try! Yes I'm going back again! In Nov! =)

The mani and pedi is pure bliss! Apart from the normal cuticle pushing (which did not hurt at all), varnishing etc, they even do massage and spa for the arms and calves! I'm happily sitting on the couch and watching Gossip Girl with the earphones they provide! Do you see cutie Nate in the TV? =)

WQ and I have made a pact to eat sth nice each week! and so last wk's sth nice was jap food at Koh Grill & Sushi Bar inside Food Republic at Wisma!

I was quite perplexed why the place was called Koh Grill & Sushi Bar when the chef is Patrick Tay. O wells. The service is gr8! esp from the chef Patrick Tay. He is very friendly to all the patrons and especially since we chose to sit at the bar, he noticed us staring at all the raw fish and he took the time to explained each of them to us!

So anyway, I was damn hungry so I ordered chawamushi. The chawamushi was normally good but easily forgettable. Its the standard Japanese fare

Shiok Maki! This have everyone raving on those online reviews! Its salmon with cheese and dunno wot. Whatever they say in those reviews are true! This is a piece of heaven! =) You should totally eat this when its hot! If you choose to sit at the bar seat, Chef Tay will torch the salmon in front of you. awesomeness. Totally must order even if you are just eating hokkien mee or wot at the food republic!

I had the bento set! I <3 the pork wrapped golden mushrooms stick! However having tasted Nanbantei, nothing comes close!

Caught The American by George Clooney last Tuesday at Shaw Bugis. Shaw Bugis is such an obscure theater that most does not even know of its existence even though there is a ticketing booth on the ground floor! The last movie I remembered watching at Shaw Bugis was King Kong!

So anyway, I've always kinda like George Clooney as he exudes this charisma and sexayness! not to mention his intense stare is smoking hot! I had high expectations for this movie since the media gave it 3.4-4/5 popcorns which is realli quite a feat in my opinion.

but i somewhat felt that the storyline was a little cliche. Clooney was a professional killer and when he wanna quit, the person whom he worked for attempted to kill him!

But during the movie, I was amazed by his ability to fix the gun from scratch basically from scrap from a used car workshop. The views of the quaint Italy town of Azzuro is beautiful as well!

went to support dear sharlene for the GV beach babe contest and afterwhich we caught Piranha 3D. Dont you think the movie poster itself look very scary already? with all the open mouth piranha. eww.

Its definitely the most disgusting movie I've watched in 2010! cos i didnt catch SAW etc. There are lotsa gross pictures online as well but I didnt download them.

Do not watch the movie after a full meal!

There are lotsa hot babes and dudes in the show tho' but the scariest looking thing is the piranha below.

Paradise Dynasty reloaded! Its popo's birthday! so all of us headed to paradise dynasty again! PD seems to be the IN place huh, everyone is going there!

Dearest popo with her cake from oddly imperial treasure @111 Somerset. She is certainly very happy that day =)

My family was late so the rest ordered first and we had the wonton in chili sauce. I had this before and I realli liked it! yums!

colourful xlb! i tried the garlic one this time ard. not bad! my lil cousin likes pink and took the pink one and guess wot! its sze chuan flavour!! she spent the rest of the evening drinking cold water. hurhur.

cold slice pork. I felt that this nt so nice. there's shredded cucumber within which i didnt fancy.

wonton soup! naise. the soup base is the same as the ramen tho'

their signature slice pork ramen, $9.80. yummy!

This was recommended in the Straits Times so mom ordered this, Sze Chuan peppercorn chicken. This is powerfully spicy. Shiok! Very crispy and not oily too! Just dont eat the dried chili accidentally.

My aunt ordered the dried ramen, I think its just with fried onions and nothing else but interestingly. this is very nice! i pref this to the soup one! the sesame oil brings out the fragrance of the dish.

Another round of good ol' traditional xlbs =)

They had the stuntman doing the long teapot of tea that day. super cool! It was full house too and theres a no reservations policy for the restaurant.

Jiu Niang Xiao Wan Zi =) I feel that the taste is a little strong. The ones I had in Shanghai was much nicer! But o wells its up to each individual's taste.

Oscar Wilde, You Are Right!

Months after the opening, P and I finally drop by 3 inch sin! They have so many flavours of those delightful goodness! Personally, I've only known how to make the original molten lava cake so how they get different flavours into the core impresses me!

Chocolate fudge cake with camomile tea! =) The cake kinda looks like awfully chocolate doesnt it =) In fact awfully chocolate is just downstairs!

And finally the highlight of the night! We had 3 choice. Original, Orange Bitter & Raspberry. I <3 Orange Bitter. The mini size is just nice too! cos you can try many different flavours! The lemon & cherry jubilee are only available in 3 inch sizes tho' =)

Aliens in the neighbourhood?

I went to the east side to collect something I bought online and there are just so many good food choices and we finally settled for, with a pinch of salt! =)

The first page of the menu! guess wot I ordered?!

Pumpkin soup! It wasnt featured in the menu I think, we had to ask the owner of the place if they had any soup and this was the soup of the day. P did not want the soup initially cos we are both not fans of pumpkin but the ownder of with a pinch of salt gave us the soup on the house! The soup is really very yummy!

tired of bacon wrapped golden mushrooms? how abt bacon wrapped banana?!

the taste of sweet and salty is juz so different. do eat this slowly cos the banana will scald the tongue!

and yes I did order the escargot!

and the o so garlicky escargot! me likey! =)

my main of squid ink risotto. this was nth special, wot is squid ink supposed to taste like anyway?

P's salmon in cream sauce! This is yummy! i kept stealing his cream sauce! I wonder if they use the same cream sauce for their pasta! Its gonna be so yummy! =)

We joined the Supreme Court Tour! It was a mad rush going to the supreme court cos I planned lotsa back to back activities on that day! we were super lucky to find a parking lot at the museum juz across the street and dash across to register!

and the tour started at the holding area in the supreme court. this is the area where the prisoners alight from those heavily guarded vehicle from the detention center.

the window is their limited view of the outside world unless they are acquitted.

the solitary cell with the squatting toilet bowl. notice there is no flush inside the cell. its when you even lose the right to flush away your own crap. they simply didnt want the prisoners to have any sort of tool or means to threaten themselves.

the interview room for last min prepping.

the steep stairs leading to the court. very steep so its nt easy to esape. the prisoners will prob fall when they run or sth.

all the funiture still intact.

the simple ceiling cos during the construction of the supreme court, there was a bit of a credit crunch.

the black tiles are actually rubber tiles produced in malaya at that time to reduce the noise from the heels.

the rotanda library which was subsequently converted to the police post as it became too small to house all the books! before there was even air con, they develop this method to have cool air in the room with the concept that hot air rises so there are vents at the leg area for cool air! how smart!

The chief justice chamber where he meets the lawyers in private. dont you think its such an interesting table? thats the only table of its kind in the entire supreme court. i can picture the then chief justice yung pang how sitting here scolding the lawyers.

and we are at the balcony of the supreme courts where the leaders can watch the padang's national day happening once every five years! its such an honour to be up there! i remember theres a picture of the late Mrs Kwa Geok Choo standing there looking on as her husband give his speech during a national day. if you notice when you walk/drive past, the lady of justice statue above is not blindfolded like those in american courts!

onward to court 1! the biggest court in the supreme court building. it was CJ Yung that dismiss the requirement to wear the wigs and black cape like we see in the HK drama. Singapore's court appeal is also the final verdict and no longer is one able to appeal to the Queens Court in UK now.

The stand where the suspect sit while hearing their own defense. see the pole on the ground, its meant to hook their leg cuffs onto.

the seat where the judge will be, the design is so as to minimise any loss in transmission and serves to allow the judge to hear well.

Finally the cornerstone at the entrance where a time capsule lies to be opened 900 years from now! =)

A date with dearest nagesh after so long! we used to go hm tgt after school each day and mug at the now torn down jurong entertain center before exams! so now that she is in the middle of jobs, we had time to meet up!! she suggested arab street, a place she is very familar with! =) on a nice fri early evening we started chilling at sufis! nasrin's juz opposite, the iconic junction at arab street! =)

i've never had hummus and the rest of the menu consisted alot of eggplant and i generally dislike eggplant for it's mushy and all. so here it is! the hummus is very nice actually. a mash of all the peas and olive oil! there was so much hummus that we ordered another serving of bread just to go with the hummus!

nag's chicken. the fries is nice. i nvr gt to try her food tho but it looks pretty!

i didnt wanna have the usual kebab thingy so i ordered this iskandar lamb. i have no idea wot it was gonna be like before it came so i was pleasantly surprised! the taste was not bad but the mutton is the minced kinda mutton, i prefer to eat the real original cut of meat than those minced ones.

under the mutton, there are cubes of bread and they taste wonderful with the sauce! the dish tasted realli yummy tho, the white part is the yoghurt dip =)

we were damn full we ordered dessert all the same. i think this is fried rice noodle dipped on honey. its very crispy and sweet but the white sauce is milk which neutralises the sweetness! very interesting! =) i'd love to go back and try different kinds of food next time!

Ootoya finally! I've previously tried to dine in Ootoya but the queue is damn long la! It doesnt help that the restaurant is not very big to start with. Went had lunch at 4pm finally as our first few choices were closed after lunch hours already. After placing our orders, I started to explore their condiments!

Chili Powder! I love this chili powder with the Yoshinoya rice bowl. heh.

This black sesame with salt is also very interresting! Boon tried to put in his rice and it really made the rice more fragrant and tastier!

To say the truth, the menu at Ootoya is pretty limited. They do not even have my fave chawamushi!? We ordered this seaweed dish anyway, it was wot they used to serve at wasabei tei! But the rest do not seem to recall this except me =\

Salad! I really love this salad cos of the fried chicken bits! The lotus root is an interesting veg inside too! In fact alot of their dishes includes lotus root!

The side that came with the set includes a piece of lotus root too!

Boon's chicken and veggie soup. i think its nt bad cos kunnie kept drinking it!

I ordered the makerel, theres nt much choices for fish i dont remember if they have salmon etc but anyway this fish is pretty well done, its crispy on the ourside and juicy on the inside. P finished the whole fish for me!

P's stir fry onion pork which i felt was normal. i like the onions nonetheless and the few stalks of penne at the bottom, i've no idea why its there but its really yummy!

Kun's bbq pork! this is very yummy! overall i feel ootoya brands itself as a healthy japanese restaurant cos most of their food seemed very healthy with all the lotus roots etc haha.

Tea at TWG again while waiting for P to finish his company dinner at Paradise Dynasty upstairs. I wasnt very hungry and werent sure what to get and the waiter recommended this Singapore Surprise from the Dessert Trolley!

Its berries with caramelised sugar and a biscuit crust bottom. Its really delicious! No wonder the waiter told me its their best seller! =)

Dinner @包今天 in 313 Somerset! I've noticed this place since sometime ago cos if you are a cheapo like me and park at the URA open air car park opposite Cineleisure, you will definitely notice this cafe with red lanterns hanging! But I've never been near to know what restaurant it is until my aunt suggested to have dinner here!

I think the name is kinda cool cos it rhymes with the ancient black faced chief justice, 包青天. I hope I got his name right, I used to watch that drama when I was little hurhur. So anyway they have this all day promotion! Dried Nissin Noodles set which includes the noodles and a mango pudding/ herbal jelly at just $3.90.

The dried nissin noodles! Its kinda salty according to my aunt! but I like! I can taste the dried scallop they used for the sauce. the luncheon meat is definitely overfried and I dont eat the veggie so I had noodles + egg haha.

Century Egg Porridge. You definitely see anything inside but this is not bad! Especially since the noodles is salty, this kinda complements the noodles!

Scallop Chee Cheong Fun! This is acceptable though not the best I've ever had but probably cos I'm bias. I dont usually have scallop chee cheong fun! I rather have the prawn or char siew ones anytime!

Mango Pudding and Herbal Jelly! The mango pudding is yummy and the herbal jelly too! the herbal jelly is not too bitter which I like! I'm easily turned off if the herbal jelly is too herbalish.

Anyway I feel that the food there is definitely affordable if you are in 313 and do not want to go to the overpriced food court upstairs. Bao Today is available in a few other food courts as well! I tried their 流沙包on another occasion and found it not bad! I <3 流沙包

Segway: The leader in personal, green transportation, transforming the way you work, play and live.

Finally got to try Segway at Sentosa last saturday! Its kinda fun but i'm damn scared I'd fall down! So I'm travelling slower than I'd walk! hurhur. P and I got to get on the Segway for free as part of this GV movie deal but its only for the course withing the Segway office itself. The usual price of the course we did is S$12. Theres totally nothing to see, its just for you to practise using the Segway probably!

Cos I was so slow, I caused a little big of human jam towards the end of the course hurhur. These machines seemed pretty fun and pricey at approx USD$8k each!

There's also an option of Eco Tour around Sentosa priced at $36! I dont think I'd be able to do that. I'd rather walk!

Possibly my fave claypot rice. my family used to go to the claypot rice at chinatown but its always so hot and stuff on the 2nd flr of chinatown complex and we started going to this at clementi that is as good! the best part is, you can call to preorder and they do reservation! so heres our claypot rice! the big pot is $25 per pot and is meant for 5 pax!

I ate 3 bowls of it! =) my cousin mentioned that beach rd have pretty nice claypot rice too and apparently the rest of my family tried it except me =\

while walking back to the car, we sat this pushcart selling muachee! so old school at the void deck! i wonder if shes there everyday tho' or only on sunday! the nuts are not fine enough for my liking tho' =)

Watami Friday. I dislike going hm early on friday cos it feels like the rest of the world is out partaying away! so it was a last min meetup with cindy! =) when we met it was aldy 7+ and there's long queue everywhere so we settled for watami! the queue moved pretty fast and we decided on this 2 pax set meal at $49++ =)

My drink! Yuzu soda. I love yuzu, its actually orangepeel in honey or sth? some korean supermarket sell those in a jar where you can drink with plain water or sth. yums! they do serve the hot one and you can gt free hot water refill! =)

we can choose the mains so we gt this salmon garlic rice and we have to stir it ourselves!

the after stiring pdt! super yummy! there are lotsa garlic bits in it and cos i <3 garlic we both finished this dish!

watami salad! this is nice too! i ate some of it only cos i dont really eat greens.

the soup which we have option to choose too! cos we were bz eating the rice, we let the soup overboiled and it ended up being super salty! =\\ nevertheless, i <3 the tau ghey and corn!

pork skewer! it was so big! we both didnt have any of it cos we were having prob finishing out food!

potato corn! this is part of the set and my fave dish! i <3 corn! this tasted like cup corn! yummy! i ate every single bit of it!

pork in egg! this is v salty cos we overcooked it as well, we were too bz talking =\ nevertheless its yummy! =)

my peanut butter chocolate milkshake. tasted ok initially but after 3 mounthful, it was super jelat =\ so i'd nt recommend anyone to drink that!

the serve all day brekkie so i decide to try the salmon toast. the salad was raw without any dressing =\ the salmon etc was ok but overall, i didnt enjoy the toast.

Kitty's meatball spaghetti. she said it was okay, but i think it looked normal only. the meatball is handmade with pork and beef tho' =) I would probably recommend the imperial treasure next door for meals next time instead of Black.

I love shopping at IKEA, there are juz so many utilitarian stuff that I wanna buy! I <3 esp their zip-lock bags to pack my lunches for work etc =) so after shopping, P and I settled for food at the bistro! I havent been there for at least a year and I didnt realise there's no more roast chicken thigh!

That's like my fave food, so heres wot we got! the soup of the day was pea soup which kinda sux =\ bleagh! The salmon was lovely! P didnt like the peppercorn on the salmon tho, but I <3 it! =)

Everyone loves Chicken Rice. I havent heard of anyone who hates chicken rice. in fact some people can eat it for every single meal and never get sick of it! so here we are at the long queue chicken rice shop in Far East Plaza =) The shop is pretty old and cramp and you will most likely share table with strangers so it has tt nostalgic feeling =)

Salted Duck soup. This is yummy! $5 per bowl enuff for 2 pax. If you didnt order their special soup, they'll also serve you chicken broth all the same =)

Chicken Rice! It used to taste better really, even tho' the owners looked unchanged, sth seemed different, maybe its less oily? but its definitely not as yummy as I remembered it. $4 for chicken thigh rice =)

WeiQing's prebdae celebration at Nanbantei Japanese Restaurant! =) I've seen this restaurant many times and there was even once bestie couldnt find wasabei tei and ate at this restaurant instead mistaking it for wasabei tei so when weiqing suggested going there i was very excited! we both order the same yakitori set lunch. price affordably at $13.

it includes bacon wrapped asparagus! tts my fave. quail egg. i <3 this totally, and 3 diff kinda meal sticks. the nicest part of this set has gotta be the rice! the stewed mushrooms are to die for and the minced pork! omg! i can juz eat plain rice alone! i heard the sweet corn is equally yummy but we were already full to the max! i'd love to come bk again to try the sweetcorn and the rice again! =)

The set meal came with a yummy light redbean and moochi. a perfect way to end our short lunch break! =)

Alternative food place in town. I try not to go town these days and even if I do, I end up eating at the same old boring places so I was really excited when Amanda recommended me this Indo grilled chicken place in Lucky Plaza. Previously I've only known abt the Ayam Penyet.

So here goes! its $6.80 per serving. food in town is so ex =X o wells. but the portion is huge. I cant finished it by myself! The business is very good, we reached there at 1145 and it was pretty full already. There are 2 shops but they are not side by side. kinda weird I know.

Nevertheless, the food is good. But if you want better grilled chicken, I feel that Plaza Singapura food serves up some mean Indo Grilled Chicken too! =)

It was evening by the time we wake up in time to see the beautiful sunset =)

This was the jetty where we disembarked earlier in the day, the slide is meant to reach directly into the sea during high tide =)

As most of us are burnt, we skipped other water activities and grab left over bread from the kitchenand headed under the jetty for some fishy feeding session! =)

we spoke to the people ard there and understand that some angmohs stay for as long as a mth on the island juz enjoying the idyllic life! ah such luxury.

when we ran out of bread, weifeng and kun went to try the slide.

the slides looks majorly fun! but i didnt want a bruised ass so i had to give it a miss heh.

we went for a good shower thereafter and headed for bbq dinner! there is bbq dinner every sats and they'll ring the bell when its ready! =)

brekkie is consisted of both asian and western food. theres nasi lemak. but i <3 the freshly made omelette the most! =) yums!

as we headed out, we asked the super grumpy driver to let us have lunch along the way and he stopped us back at the same hawker center where we had the wonton mee the day before! this time we had bakuteh!

this is my all time fave dish cos i am actually v lazy to eat the bakuteh, some meat are juz v hard to remove from the bone haha.

F1 weekend! when the rest of the world descends upon sunnypore for the night race, we decide to head out of sunnypore for some breather. so here we are at the checkpoint to RAWA ISLAND!

cos we woke up at an unearthly hour of 5am to beat the crowd travelling between both states everyday, we were all very very very hungry by 7am so the kind uncle dropped us at this supposedly yummy coffeeshop at Kota Tinggi for a bite! >.<

wonton noodles with the wonton below. msian food is interesting. although it is meant to be wanton noodles there's onli like one wanton within. it seems more like yongtaufoo to me!

after the satisifying meals, we continued our journey to Mersing! and here's the check in counter at the Mersing side before we board the speedboat over!

the island's customer consisted of mainly caucasian and singaporeans. its prob too ex for the locals to go.

the super fast speedboat. i think the journey was like 15mins.

cos most of us do not have any diving license, we all opted to snorkel tgt instead. the water there is very suitable, as it was crystal clear, we saw nemo and other colourful fishes, lotsa lotsa lotsa sea urchin and barracuda.

this is one of the island we explored. very pretty indeed. it was a personalised trip cos there were 6 of us so we loved it to the max!

we were all dead hungry when we came bk and headed straight for the buffet table and grabbed woteva we saw. the entire package includes all the meals anyway. the food was so so but we were too hungry to care anyhows.

and the best lifestyle one can get is to slp after one eat and that's precisely wot we did. slping in the sun. =)

working in orchard has it perks! which is to be able to reach town before the rest of the world does on a Friday night for a good dinner to kick off the wkend! We decided to try sho teppan since we've tried a number of other restaurants in the area.

my tepanyaki pork! i was lazy and gt the lady to stir fry in front of me instead of doing it myself. the pork was okies, super fat tho. but i felt it was nth special.

p's soup with chicken strips. i didnt try it, but it was nt particularly appetizing looking. The food was juz okay on the whole, given a choise i probably would not go back again. but a super long queue was formed when we came out! so i guess alot of ppl love the food there. the service was fantastic tho, they dragged a baby chair for me to put my laptop and handbag =)

Mooncake festival family gathering was at Paradise Dynasty in Ion, the new brainchild of the man behind taste paradise. The restaurant was big with private corner and opulent decorations.

And this was wot attracted me to Paradise Dynasty! flavoured XLB. Previously I've tried chilie crab XLB from Din tai feng and i tot they were nt bad!

Ard 10 mins after ordering we were served the XLB. at $16 a basket, i felt it was rather affordable! i ate the cheesy one and the original one and both were extremely yummy! I want to go back again and have 1 basket just for myself!

dumpling in chilli oil. this was nice too! the chilie was more vinegary than spicy. the skin is super thin and melts in the mouth =)

tofu with century egg. this was ok onli nth special. its a cold appetizer dish tho'

drunken chicken. this is nice! the alcohol was flavourful!

shanghai fried rice. this is one of the best fried rice i've had. super yummy! everyone finished every single bit of the rice!

i think they specialise in shanghainese food and ramen is their speciality. they offer to help you cut the noodles when they serve you. momsy said that if you are there to celebrate your bdae, you must now allow them to cut the noodles for you. so here's mine, juicy pork ramen! the broth tasted like its bn simmered for the whole day. damn yummy!

fried chicken & pork ribs that came with bro and momsy's ramen! =) i'd definitely return again. the pricing is very reasonable too! =)

Don Pie! I ate this a long time ago then momsy suggested bring gramps and cousins there cos the cuzzies will love the pie=)

The ginormous pie! 6 servings! I <3 this totally! each slice is generously filled with chunks of chicken, potatoes and half an egg. Theres also a kids version with no peppercorn =)

yums. looking at the pix now is enuff to make me drool! >.<

Other than pie of course they sell other yummy food like this soupy crab bee hoon at $18 per pot. $23 version is available if you wanna share and its 1 whole entire crab in each pot!

black pepper crab beehoon! this is totally yummy! i <3 both kinds actually, the soupy one for the broth and the pepper one for the beehoon!

and since we are around the corner, we went up to the mbs skypark once again! i didnt realise theres a magician doing tricks for the public there. i think its a really thoughtful gesture to keep the guest occupied upstairs =)

2 sats ago was the international costal cleanup event participated by lotsa diff co. so we were allocated the changi part of the beach which i've never been to before in my entire life! surprisingly, there are quite a significant number of people cycling and blading there. i guess there are still alot of places in sg tt i've nvr bn to! =) p with the pile of trash a team of us collected =)

after a tiring morning, we adjourned to simpang bedok for brunch! cheesy roti john! its my first time eating this cheesy roti john and i've to say this is very yummy! the mayo is damn fattening but o so yummy!

this is called roti jala. i've never eaten before and i've always bn intrigued by it! its juz flour but its realli yummy! its meant to be dipped into curry. but i think nt alot of places sell this =)

my all time favourite ayam penyet! tis is nt as nice as the one at Lucky Plaza tho' =)

Dinner at Clark Quay! Octapas! I've never seen this restaurant ard before. I think its new =)

Gazpacho: Spanish Cold Tomato soup. Its my first time trying this. Its super duper sour! I guess i will still stick to the usual mushroom soup or chicken soup. cold soup juz taste way to weird out.

Eggplant Bruschetta. I do not usually eat egg plant cos i think they look disgusting so i was apprehensive to try this but this is very yummy! i totally didnt know it was eggplant and i dunno wot eggplant taste like anyway haha!

Calamari. nth special in my opinion. scallop on skewer. Super yummy! I <3 this! we all cant gt enuff of this =)

paella, i forgot the flavour but its mixed i think, one of the chef's recommendation. this is nt bad. but nt the best i've tried =)

pan fried egg with potatos in them and mayo at the side. this was juz ok, i was aldy quite full at this stage already.

The restaurant is very crowded prob cos it was in clark quay area, but the prices are steep! =)

starter of one egg soup! i <3 fried egg! this soup is unique!

chicken drumlets, they are crunchy, but really nth much to shout abt =)

salmon in a cup with curry fries! the fries are yummy! the salmon is very fresh but the broth tasted like cod liver oil, some may not like it!

Mutton burger, juicy and still alright, garlic herb shoestring fries. this is my fave fries flavour!

To celebrate 2 year of working, a bunch of us met and dined in Dallas at boat quay after work! the turnout was amazing! =) This is my 2nd visit to the restaurant and i am glad to note that the reviews on hgw is pretty nt bad! =)

Cos its been realli cold these few days, we decided to head to Thien Kee Steamboat restaurant to celebrate the bdae of the sept babies! =)

Their steamboat is surprisingly not the buffet style but instead comes in a set with pork liver, prawn, fishball, fish maw, cockles, beef pork etc etc

and veggies also part of the set at $22. we had 8 pax and the lady there recommended us 3 sets so you can go figure.

anyway we opted for 2 sets instead and gt hainanese chicken cos alot of other ppl were eating it!

This is my fave dish! Luo Han Zhai! =) Overall the food there was not too bad but nth to shout abt realli, the place is packed to the brim tho' we were all really shock. its definitely affordable at $11 per pax for each of us.

Having walked past B3 so many times, i've always bn tempted by their burger! esp since this concept was conceptualised by a lawyer. being the cheaper cousin of relish, b3 is nt that much cheaper either. an average burger goes at $8 a pop =)

Forget abt Boon Tong Kee or Tian Tian, mommy's fave chicken rice in sunny singapore has gotta be five star chicken rice! so last sunday when everyone happened to be resting at hm, she suggested going for chicken rice!

Thai styled chicken feet. I dont eat this but its mom's fave! she finished the entire plate by herself tho she said it was slightly spicy. =)

our fave! thai styled tofu! =) i love thai sweet chilli sauce with everything!

sambal sweet potato leaves. this is a healthier version than kangkong cos kangkong apparently is some water type of veg so nt so gd to eat too often =)

A relaxing Sunday late lunch at il lido! I've heard quite a bit on il lido but have been put off by the high price tag and since bestie wanted to go, bestie, p and i finally made it down last sat! =)

after placing our orders, we were served this toasted bread. its very crispy and yummy but i kinda like soft breads with dips too!

smoked salmon with balsamic vinegar compliments from the chef. the smoked salmon is super super super nice! i <3 this to bits!

we ordered the set lunch at $39 so this is part of it, veal. this is nice too!

pumpkin soup with balsamic vinegar again. i <3 balsamic vinegar actually. for the set lunch, one gt to choose either the soup or the appetizer which for our case was the veal =)

since there were 3 of us, we ordered 2 set lunches and 2 alacarte, this is one of the alacarte of appetizer. scallop! this is really really good. p almost stole mine cos i was taking my time eating the prev 2 dishes. the scallops were succulent and wrapped with a thin slice of bacon. *drools*

bestie's main, beef. she said it melted in the mouth, i dont eat beef tho' but the asparagus is yum.

the other alacarte we gt. prawn risotto. i <3 rissoto! i wanna try making one someday. the prawn is abnormally huge! this is super nice!

the inside. its super super super duper cheesy so i didnt have much of it. theres actually 3 mains to choose from for the set lunch, meat (beef), pasta (pictured above and below) or fish which neither of us chose.

dessert. this is the best chocolate pudding i've ever had. we struggled to eat this cos we were so so so full from the meal. the bread was free topup so we kept eating the bread too.

and we bake again. last wk was trng wk and i had the luxury of getting hm on time so p and i decide to make dinner! =) baked pasta!

the insides. look a little disgusting with all the mince meat n stuff but its really nice! the portion is WAY WAY WAY too much for the 2 of us tho, but heres the recipe below:

Ingredients

(serves 3)
2 tablespoons oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs (optional)
200g minced pork
1 tomato, chopped into small chunks
1 1/2 cups ready-made pasta sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust according to taste)
1 teaspoon freshly grounded black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
150g macaroni
100g shredded mozzarella cheese

Method

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly grease (I used olive oil) an ovenproof dish. Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the garlic. Let it cook on low heat for 1 minute. Add the dried mixed herbs (if using). Cook for another 1 minute.

Add the minced beef and cook for 5 minutes, breaking up lumps as it cooks, until well browned. Add in the tomatoes, stir and cook for 1 minute.

Add the pasta sauce. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper, sugar and dried parsley (if using).

In the meantime, cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain well.

Spread half of the cooked macaroni evenly into the prepared dish. Top with half of the bolognese sauce, then the remaining macaroni, followed by the remaining sauce. Sprinkle the top with some extra dried parsley, if desired. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 15~20 minutes, until the top turns brown and bubbly. Serve warm.

Not another 3D movie, when the first 3D movie came out in the monsters vs aliens time a yr or 2 ago, i was very excited. i tot it would be one of the few 3D movie tt comes out once in a blue moon. who knows now every other movie is a 3D movie ||-_-

So The Hole. Have you even heard of this movie? Its abt facing up to your own fears. not so much of a horror movie. but personally im scared of the dark and the unknown.

Night Safari. This is my 2nd visit to night safari after so long. the concept is still similar.

We got the park entrance tickets incl the tram ride which cost $32. 10% discount for OCBC MasterCard Holder. As we went on a Sat, the park was mad mad mad crowded. there are prob a few thousand ppl there and i'm shell-shocked. The night safari is doing very well afterall!

Our fun tram ride. imo, it is important to take the tram ride so you see as many animals as possible. otherwise there are some animals that are nt along the walking trail =)

Then we were lazy to walk the train in the hot humid night so we sat down for B&J and some comfort food.

sucky pasta. o wells when your in a theme park there isnt cheap food at all and this is prob the cheapest. less than $15 if im not wrong but i can make better pasta that tt. its juz cooked pasta with instant pasta sauce and a few pieces of lousy ham.

Bongo Burger.

Then we headed for the show at 1030. theres a show at 730, 830 and 930 but as i mentioned it was mad crowded, we were unable to squeeze in so no matter wot, we went for the last show.

The show is farni, the host was very lively and friendly! I still very much prefer the day zoo's performance tho' =)

A day in the life of a tourist in Singapore.

We headed to Maxwell hawker and gt my fave fried sweet potato balls!

they have the ones with fillings and empty ones. i <3 the empty ones. sinful but so QQ and yummy!

Then its chicken rice, Tian Tian. Personally I feel that the chicken rice at my house is as good as Tian Tian but since the queue wasnt crazy, we joined in for some yummy goodness =)

Tong Heng egg tart! we can at an awkward timing where all the egg tarts were sold out so we had to wait ard 10mins for the next hot pipping batch! but im not complaining! =)

Saw weird dried skin of animals for sale in the chinese medical hall. i wondered wot are the uses for it =)

Then onward to City Hall area. WW1 Memorial. I have no idea sgp was involved in WW1 anyway.

Wen Dao Shi!! I've always wanted to go there after seeing so many people post pix on it on fb and having passed by it numerous times and its always so crowded!

the all of ur were ravenous and ordered like there is no tomorrow. Pi Dan Chou. The century egg porridge is actually very normal, not comparable to hotel standards or wot, but I <3<3<3 the generous serving of century egg! they are my fave!

honey lemon tea & barley in the unconventional serving containers. the honey lemon tea even had jelly pieces in them.

This is us and some of the food we ordered! =) The chee cheong fun is unconventional too, its nt the sweet soya sauce kind tt i <3 and its also nt the sweet soya sauce, the sauce is like peanut sauce colour.

Overall the food is not fantastic but its definitely a good choice for a cheap and conforting midnight snack! they open 24hrs! Simple fare, standard is simlar to red star restaurant in chinatown i would say.

Fried Rice Paradise! Gt tix to watch FRP but i didnt think the play was particularly nice.

theres a new fast food player in town! Texas Chicken headed onto our shores right from the US of A! The concept is similar to popeye's chicken =)

They obviously have been around for a loooong time!

since it was our first time, we wanted to try everything but cant possible order every meal, we were delight to find out they have this mixed platter consisting of chicken thigh, chicken strips and chicken drumlets. the onion rings was meant to replace the biscuit which they temporarily ran out of. we order the non-spicy chicken as both p and i are nt very tolerant to spicy food. and boy its still as spicy as every! we have no idea if they heard us wrongly or wot. but is the non-spicy is so spicy, i cannot imagine how the spicy one is like!

the chicken is very juicy nonetheless. and the chilli sauce is yums. i <3 thai sweet chilli sauce!

coldslaw is crunchy and cold too! the bad part abt this is i think its quite inconvenient for me they only have 2 branches one at united sq and the other one at expo. both places of which i dont frequent. biz is definitely good at united sq tho' =))

Finally tried Gong Cha after hearing liang liang and krissy talk abt it during our lunch date!

Gong Cha is from HK similar to Happy Lemon. Talk abt an invasion of premium bubble tea! This is supposed to rival Koi, but when I was there on a sat afternoon, there was no one in sight!

P and I shared the Alishan milk tea. The milk is seperated from the tea. Its not bad but not my cup of tea. no pun intended. However i cant exactly compare it to Koi cos i've nvr tried the Alisan tea from Koi. But nevertheless this is better than sweet talk. price range is ard that of Koi =)

Raindrops cafe! i heard abt this cafe when a bunch of us went to camp pong a while ago but raindrops wasnt opened then. so one fine sat, pj, krissy, p and i headed to raindrops at *scape! its in an ulu corner and i almost couldnt find it =)

i realli like the airy, quaint, cozy atmosphere.

appetizer. tuna! this is actually nice! the sides are pepper and the fish is fresh. i actually tried a slice of it consider how i dont even eat sashimi so its had gotta b decent! =) its apparently one of their speciality too!

Krissy's vongole linguine.

squid ink pasta. this is nt bad but the flavour wasnt very strong. other squid ink pasta i tried are quite salty. but anyway how is squid ink supposed to taste like? heh.

penne cabonara. liangliang complained that this is salty. but i read rave reviews of it on HWG.

my super super super super fave dish! pork loin i think. its so juicy and the cranberry sauce is yums! i'd want to try this again! i believe this is the best dish, definitely a must order.

tiramisu. this is nice! p and i finished all of this =)

liang liang + krissys poached pear. this is yummy too! i think their dessert is o so worth it! thank god we left space for dessert despite our very filling mains. =)

Overall, i enjoyed my dining experience at raindrops and the price is very reasonable too!

it was realli surprising when nic msged all of us one fine sat to invite us for dinner the following sat with weifeng! its really nice tt weifeng is back again! i still remember the darn farni times and the wacky games he taught us during the chalet last yr. so not knowing tt he have aldy bn bk in sg for a mth aldy, we chose to have our dinner at muthu curry @racecourserd.

so heres the crispy papadum. this rawks. i love to dip this in curry/chilli or wotever there is. most indian food stalls sell this on its own too! yummy!

the interesting eating concept. i guess the introduced the fork n spoon juz cos its frequent by non-indians.

we selected briyani instead of the normal white rice cos we wanted to have the ultimate indian food experience.

after placing our order, this friendly waiter came ard to scoop some curry thingy onto out plate.

the reddish curry thing from wot i understood is brinjal curry and the other one is juz veggie curry. im nt a big fan of brinjal be it curry or wot so i hardly touched it but the veggie one is yums.

Their speciality fish head curry. i dont realli know how to eat fish head and im really wary of the bones etc. but never the less there are plenty of meat to go ard the 7 of us =) the curry sauce is sedap!

deep fried lady finger. first time seeing this. crunchy n yummy! =)

my fave fave fave dish for indian food has gotta b this north indian naan. we order the mixed naan basket so everyone could try the diff kind of naan =) this is a must order!

tandoori fish head. this takes 20mins to prep after ordering. it looks dry on the outside but its actually juz nice! cos this came quite late in the meal, most of us couldnt really finish it. this is also one of their speciality. if you must choose between this and the curry fish head, i'd take the curry fish head anytime.

sambal sotong. this is darn spicy. but very shiok! as nic puts it, its super chewy yet soft =) i'd order this again too! the serving is quite small for this squid tho but cos we had alot of other dishes so it was nt a prob for us.

and cos for some weird reason ms ang was late n wanted a change of venue, we headed to banana leaf curry and felt weird to have 7 pax staring at one 1 pax eating and taking up so much of their space, we order this weird icecream. we tried asking the uncle wot flavour this was cos the name was sth i couldnt decipher, he said, "they all taste the same." we werent sure wot he referred to so we were all very stunned. nevertheless kun n boon ordered the mango icecream and i took the leap of faith and order an unknown flavour.

so it came in cubes instead of the nice round scoops we are used to. the spice flavour is certainly there and the others who tasted it said its goats milk icecream. i barely tasted it.

its definitely an experience.
